Talk:Closed ecological system

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I renamed this article to remove the plural. Astudent 14:21, 2004 Oct 15 (UTC)

Why does the article state in the introduction that it isn't a closed system because it can exchange energy with its surroundings, when the article for closed system states a closed system can exchange energy with its surroundings? I will remove the offending sentence. 203.211.99.87 00:03, 28 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] In popular culture

In movies as Sunshine (2007 film), life support systems are shown.

PS: I don't now if its a closed ecological or controlled ecological life support system (please include in appropriate article if someone knows this)

[edit] Phototrophs and closed systems.

While both chemotrophic and phototrophic organisms are plausible, almost all closed ecological systems to date are based on a phototroph such as green algae.

There are some close systems, like Movile Cave, where the ecosystem uses chemosynthesis as a source of energy. bogdan (talk) 00:39, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
