Talk:Closed-end leasing

[edit] comment

I have transfered this material from the topic "Lease" because it is specific to one country's laws rather than adding general value to an explanation of the concept of the lease. People are free to disagree with this decision and consolidate this material back into "Lease" but I decided that I would provoke people into a decision on this page rather than simply leaving it to fester in wikify. -David91 17:08, 29 May 2005 (UTC)

[edit] can someone fix this?

The following text was removed from hire purchase. I'm not familiar enough with the topic to know if it's true or where to place it in the article:

In North America, where the word hire most commonly refers to employment, the comparable system is called Closed-end leasing, also sometimes known as lease purchase, lease option, and rent-to-own. The top 3 Companies in North America are:[citation needed]

  • Rent-A-Center (Recently acquired Rent Way)
  • Aaron's Sales and Lease Ownership
  • easyhome (Canada)
