Are we sure Clongriffin is in Baldoyle?

The Donaghmede article states that the railway line is the boundary between Baldoyle and Donaghmede. And that Clongriffin is being built on Father Collins Park.

On my map there is one sure thing - Fr Collins Park ain't anywhere near Baldoyle!! (Sarah777 23:29, 23 June 2007 (UTC))

Clongriffin is not being built on Fr. Collins Park - there would be war if that happened - but backing on to it, and the park is being partly reworked by the developers as a civic contribution. Donaghmede and Baldoyle back on to each other - although the village of Baldoyle is off at the coast, it was a large area, and still runs right up to the rail line (so the comment about boundaries in the article is correct). And Clongriffin is being built on part of the old green belt at Baldoyle, up to and around the railway. Its rail station will be at Grange Road, Baldoyle, and in some CIE documents is referred to as Baldoyle (Grange Road) Station (as Baldoyle is now mostly served by Sutton Station). Perhaps some of it will take land from Donaghmede, mind you. SeoR 21:19, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
Sorry, Sarah, probably just that it is late - can you guide me on the location of the note about Clongriffin being built on Fr. Collins Park, which I will clarify. SeoR 21:23, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
Nope. Seems it is being built beside Collins Park. Sorry if I caused the local community any concern!! (Sarah777 21:42, 24 June 2007 (UTC))
No worries - and their material says "Clongriffin adjoins newly rejuvenated Father Collins Park, a 22 hectare park which will include ..." But you were right to query location, as despite the developer material, which notes Baldoyle, and nowhere includes Donaghmede, I visited, and the work across the rail is a separate development. I drove in, and Clongriffin is entirely on the Donaghmede side of the rail line. Maybe there are technicalities about Donaghmede ending short of that part of the land, but I think to most people, this is Donaghmede, and the Racecourse Development in Baldoyle will be a different thing.
And I checked Northern Fringe documents, and of the four areas, each meeting the next across a main road, and one is what was Belcamp College, next Belmayne in lower Balgriffin (and on MyHome.ie as such), next is Clongriffin, and last is Baldoyle Racecourse (which is really yet to come). Changing article so. Well-spotted, sorry I did not investigate properly before. 195.96.72.22 07:39, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
