Cloyes-sur-le-Loir

Cloyes-sur-le-Loir is a commune in France. It lies on the River Loir, a few kilometres south of the town of Châteaudun.
It is the seat of a canton in the Arrondissement of Châteaudun, in the Department of Eure-et-Loir.
Its main claim to fame is that it was home of Stephen of Cloyes, a leader of the Children's Crusade.
As of 2007, the mayor is Phillipe Vigier.
