Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is a children's book written by author Judi Barrett and illustrated by Ron Barrett. It was first published in 1982 by Aladdin Paperbacks.[1]

The book describes the town of Chewandswallow, where the weather comes three times a day, at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and is always food and beverages. The rain is juice and soup, the snow is mashed potatoes, and the wind brings hamburgers. However, when floods and storms of food come, the town must do something to survive.

On August 15, 2006, Sony Pictures Animation announced that they would be making a film adaptation of the book. The movie will attempt to tell the origins of Chewandswallow's weather.[2] The planned release date is March 27, 2009.[3]
