The cloudy gecko, Hoplodactylus nebulosus, is a species of gecko in the family Gekkonidae.

The cloudy gecko is endemic to New Zealand, found only on Stewart Island and outlying islands.

Forest and scrub areas.
[edit] Description
Very similar in pattern and colour to the forest gecko, Hoplodactylus granulatus, but there is usually more brown or green rather than grey, and the pattern is less distinct. The area of the belly is finely speckled.
Length is up to 96 mm snout to vent, with total length reaching 170 mm.

Arboreal, nocturnal, but may sun-bask.
