Clonsilla (Cluain Saileach in Irish, meaning meadow of the Willow or Sallows) is a village and district northwest of Dublin, Ireland.

Originally a small village in its own right and once home to many horse studs including the famous Ongar stud formerly owned by Prince Aly Khan and his then wife Rita Hayworth, Clonsilla is now a large residential suburban area, with Ongar and other localities developing their own subsidiary identities. It falls into the Dublin 15 district and belongs in the Dublin West Constituency.

Clonsilla straddles the Royal canal in the Fingal County area and is linked to the city centre by the Maynooth commuter rail line and the N3. Clonsilla railway station opened on 1 September 1848 and was closed for goods traffic on 17 June 1963.[1] Many Buses that provide for the Clonsilla are 39, 39a and 239 from Liffey Valley Shopping Centre.

Clonsilla has seen massive development in terms of residential housing in recent times, estates such as Mount Symon, Castlefield, Charnwood, Limelawn, Ravenswood, Manorfields, Portergate, Lohunda and Lambourn have been developed in the past 10 years. As a result, the population of the area has risen dramatically. Hartstown is one rapid growing town that belongs to the area, This lies east of of Clonsilla. It is also North of Lucan and West of Blancharstown.
Nowadays, Clonsilla is considered to be part of the greater Blanchardstown area. Clonsilla falls into the Dublin 15 postal district.

It has excellent Educational facilities for Primary Schools, St. Ciarans National School located in the greater Hartstown Region and St. Mochta's loacted nearby. Although only having one Secondary School in the area, Hartstown Community School has been recommened has one of the best schools of Ireland and is only a few minutes away from Clonsilla.

- Luttrellstown Castle dating from the early 15th century. Once owned by members of the Guinness family, it is now a hotel, with associated golf course, and was thrown into the spotlight when David Beckham and Victoria Adams married there. American rock band R.E.M. (band) also stayed here during the Monster World Tour in 1995.
- The Shackleton Gardens, Beech Park. Home to famous walled garden containing many rare flower species and formerly owned by the Shackleton family. Opposite Luttrellstown Castle.
- 'The Royal Canal (see separate article) - for anglers, many varied species of freshwater fish such as pike, perch and roach can be caught along the banks of the canal.
