[edit] Irish Republic#Legacy
I understand your analysis of the political POVs on the commemoration date - it is certainly debatable so thanks for providing an explanation. [I'm not sure I agree, but I'll explain at talk:Irish Republic. My main point is to say that, when you do make a big change, it is critical that you use the edit notes (at the bottom of the edit box) to give a very short summary of your edit / reasons for the edit. In this case, I would have written "Deleted political POV - see talk". Doing that will say "this was not a petty deletion but a serious critical and improving edit. --Red King 19:40, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
- Your debate on this point was excellent. Keep up the good work! You might want to look in on Wikipedia:Irish Wikipedians' notice board and List of Ireland-related topics. --Red King 23:29, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] and some other edits
You might want to look at what I've done or written about your other edits. You are on the right track! Sometimes I agree with you, sometimes I don't. This kind of debate is what keeps Wikipedia from going off the rails! By the way, if nobody comes back on the "Triple agreement" section discussion at talk:Michael Collins, definitely delete it again. --Red King 20:12, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Your recent edits
Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 20:53, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
