Clifton Rocks Railway It is easy to miss this as you pass by on the Portway. The funicular railway was in use for 40 years between 1893 and 1934. Even when it closed it then had a used as a base for the BBC during WWII.
The tunnel is 500 feet long, through limestone and is brick lined.
