Clive Young

The Right Reverend Clive Young is the Bishop of Dunwich[1] in the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich[2]. Born on 31 May 1948 and educated at the King Edward VI Grammar School, Chelmsford[3] and St John's College, Durham[4] he was ordained in 1973 and began his career with a curacy at Neasden. He was then successively Priest in charge, then Rural Dean of Old Ford, London, Vicar of St Andrew, Holborn and finally (before his elevation to the Episcopate) Archdeacon, of Hackney. A keen gardener he was prominent in urging more radical clerics such as Peter Akinola to attend the 2008 Lambeth Conference[5].
