Clive Myrie

Clive Myrie is a BBC News foreign correspondent formerly based in Brussels. He joined the BBC in 1987 as part of the Corporation's radio presenter trainee programme. Educated at Hayward Grammar School and the University of Sussex, he graduated in 1985 with a law degree.
Between 1988 and 1994 he worked as a reporter for BBC Radio Bristol, Independent Radio News, BBC Television News West and BBC Television and Radio News.
In 1994 he was appointed news correspondent for BBC Television and Radio, becoming the BBC's Tokyo correspondent and the Los Angeles correspondent 1997/99. He was appointed a BBC Asia Correspondent in 2002 and was Paris correspondent 2006/07. His career he has encompassed major stories such as the war in Kosovo, the Mozambique floods, Palestine and the war in Afghanistan.
Myrie has won several nominations for his work,significantly for his role in the (Bafta nominated) team behind coverage of the Mozambique floods. He was awarded the Bayeux War Correspondent Award for his reporting of ethnic violence on the island of Borneo.
