Clive Hornby

Clive Hornby (born October 20, 1944 in Liverpool) is an English actor well known for his part in ITV's Emmerdale as farmer Jack Sugden. He took over the role of Jack Sugden in 1980 from Andrew Burt who left the show in 1976.
In real life, he was married to Helen Weir who played Pat Sugden. They have now since parted.
Clive Hornby played drums in highly-regarded Merseybeat band 'The Dennisons', who released three singles before splitting in 1966.
