Clive Goodman

Clive Goodman is a veteran royal reporter who had worked as royal editor for the News of the World, who was jailed in January 2007.

The investigative journalist wrote a column titled Blackadder that reported details of the lives of notable personalities.

He was among the most important tabloid journalists in covering the breakdown of the marriage of the Princess Diana to Prince Charles.

He was arrested in August 2006 amid allegations of a plot to intercept mobile phone messages involving members of the Royal Household. On January 26, 2007 Goodman was imprisoned for four months having pleaded guilty to illegally intercepting phone messages from Clarence House.

He then began working for the Daily Star.
