Clifton railway station serves Clifton Junction, area of Salford, Greater Manchester, England.

It lies on the Manchester-Preston Line. In 2006, the station has just one train a day in each direction (local services run by Northern Rail); only 182 passengers were recorded as using the station in 2005–6.

The station was called Clifton Junction until 1974 because the rail line split towards Bolton and Bury on opposite sides of the Irwell Valley, with the Bury line crossing the valley across Clifton Viaduct (known locally as "the 13-arches"), which still stands today as a local landmark. The line to Bury closed in 1966.

The nearest alternative station to Clifton Junction with a regular service is Swinton 1¼ miles away on the line between Manchester and Wigan via Atherton.
