Clifton "Elvis" Wolcott

Clifton 'Elvis' Wolcott was one of the 19 American soldiers who lost their lives in the Battle Of Mogadishu. CWO Wolcott was killed on impact as his UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter crashed after its tail rotor was destroyed by a RPG from a Somali militiaman. Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) Clifton Wolcott was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Bronze Star and the Air Medal with Valor Device.[1]

'Elvis' Wolcott was the pilot of Super-Six One, the first Black Hawk to be downed by Somali forces.[1] His character was played by Jeremy Piven in the theatrical release of Blackhawk Down. `He was the Mike Jordan of helicopter pilots`
