Clifford May

Clifford May is the president of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies and Chairman of the Policy Committee of the Committee on the Present Danger (CPD). May writes a syndicated column for the Scripps Howard News Service which is published in numerous newspapers including The Washington Times.
Previously May worked with The New York Times as their Bureau Chief in Northern Ireland and West Africa, he also was with CBS in the USSR. He was also editor of the The New York Times Magazine.
From 1997 to 2001, he served as the Director of Communications for the Republican National Committee.
