Clifford Brodie Frith

Clifford Brodie Frith is an Australian ornithologist, photographer and publisher based in Far North Queensland. Of English origin, he worked at the British Museum of Natural History and the Royal Society of London before moving to Australia. Since then he has collaborated with his wife Dawn Frith in long-term studies on bowerbirds and birds of paradise. In 1999 he was awarded, jointly with his wife, the Royal Australasian Ornithologists Union's D.L. Serventy Medal which recognizes excellence in published work on birds in the Australasian region. As well as numerous scientific papers, the Friths have authored many books, including:
