Cliffhanger (ride)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Cliffhanger, Kite Flyer, and the Fly Away are rides that simulate hang gliding. The Cliffhanger ride goes in a circle, and then raises up to about 60 degrees. This ride is made by Dartron. People lay on their stomachs in 10 cars of 3 people each. The ride goes at a medium pace. There is a usually a triangle in the middle of the ride that has lights on it along with lights on the side of the ride. This ride is similar to the Paratrooper ride except that you are flying now instead of sitting. Dartron recommends all riders be 42 inches or taller to ride; anyone under 48 inches must be accompanied by an adult.

[edit] Kite Flyer and Fly Away
The Kite Flyer is made by Zamperla, and the Fly Away is made by Huss. The Kite Flyer is a smaller version of the Cliffhanger, and thus has fewer cars. It has 8 cars of 3 people. It's circumference is smaller than the other ones. The Fly Away is the biggest one, and one of them is at Six Flags New England. It has 18 cars of 2 people. The Kite Flyer requires riders to be 42 inches or taller; anyone under 48 inches must be accompanied by an adult. Because the Fly Away takes riders upside down, Huss recommends that riders be 48 inches or taller; however, Six Flags New England has a set restriction of 52 inches or taller.
