According to the Mark Hoppus, "Cliff Diving" is the song that resembles the musical style of Blink-182 the most on this album.

In an interview Mark Hoppus mentioned that the name of the song - Cliff Diving - came from his childhood when his friends used to jump off the roof of a house and into a pool; called "cliff diving" due to the similarity. It was almost the title track to the band's debut album.
