[edit] Lighthouses

Suggest that if you really want to keep the list of lighthouses you synchronise with Lighthouses_in_Ireland though listing the individual ones on the Project page seems pointless as it is basically duplication of the work I have already done making the list and linking as many as possible. ww2censor 16:02, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

Agreed ClemMcGann 23:47, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
Thanks, I think that makes more sense rather than have duplication. Cheers ww2censor 04:24, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Irish ships

It is a pity my uncle died a few years ago because he was company secretary of Irish Shipping and, as a kid, I remember him going to some ship launchings. IIRC at least 2 ships were built in the Netherlands. I wonder if any of the photos of those occasions are still around. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ww2censor (talkcontribs)

Was he there at the end(84/85)? If so I probably knew him, and if he is the person I think he is, then I had great admiration for him. There was a series of v old photos floating around but only the oldest would be out of copyright. I don't remember which (of the recent ships) were built in Netherlands. Any names come to mind ? Photographs of Irish Shipping Ships - the answer is 'probably'. try [1] ClemMcGann 23:42, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
IIRC, he was not there at the end as he was in private practice, as an accountant, sometime in the late 1970s, but I will check some sources to see if I can be more accurate. The photos I remember were from ship launchings during the 1960s but I don't recall any ship names as all those indigenous trees were often mentioned. Let me see if I can find out anything but don't hold your breath. ww2censor 13:25, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
