What we need for that article are references to published, reliable sources independent of the organization itself. News coverage, magazine stories, things like that. If you know of some, please mention them at the AFD discussion. — Carl (CBM · talk) 00:35, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

I concur with Carl. If Youn Wha Ryu doesn't have enough independent and/or reliable sources, and Wikipedia deletes the article, make a personal website OFF OF WIKIPEDIA about Youn Wha Ryu and link to it from your user page (or even make a Youn Wha Ryu wiki on a wiki farm). Getting the media to notice is important in making a phenomenon notable if it isn't notable to begin with. — Rickyrab | Talk 01:56, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

Sources in Korea?

Clear Stone, I hope your article won't be deleted. I know nothing about youn hwa ryu, and it is not clear to me whether it was created in Korea or in the U.S. (apparently it's not ancient). If it does have roots in Korea, it should be possible to find sources in that country, which could establish notability beyond doubt. Remember that the English language Wikipedia is not particularly about issues within the U.S. and U.K., but anywhere in the world. Maybe we're just facing a language barrier, and there are some people in Korea discussing this in Korean. Don't be afraid to contact them, maybe you could create the link between some enthusiasts in Korea and the English language Wikipedia. That would be great! Alfons Åberg 07:27, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

Maybe you could ask these people: http://martialartsresource.net/mailman/listinfo/the_dojang. Alfons Åberg 07:32, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
