[edit] Removal of direct copy and irrelevant contents
Hi groupmates and fellow users,
Just a few reminders about copyright and relevancy.
1. Please do not copy the contents directly from the CTA homepage, when quoting please kindly repharse and summarize.
2. The Powers and API sections are indeed not necessary. The detailed description about past secretaries is also redundant.
3. Please also format the article carefully.
I will now delete the concerned content and should you have any comments or suggestions please let me know. 0101carol06 13:04, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Logo of CTA being deleted
I believe that we have infringed the copyright of CTA as the logo of CTA has been deleted. I have seen similar cases in other group, I have sent email to them to request for their permission in using the logo. Should they reply me, I would inform everyone of you by editing in the discussion page.0101eileen06 13:21, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Project
Your student projects are welcomed but we do like you to declare yourselves. If you announce it, other editors are likely to take a slightly more lenient view of your work. -- RHaworth 17:03, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Email from CTA
I have received the email from CTA, we are not allowed to use the logo, but we are allowed to use photos in this website: http://www.cleartheair.org.hk/photos.htm
also, there are some errors ponited out by CTA, they are as follows:
this is false:
"The pollutants from China are main sources of air pollutions in Hong Kong. Since polluted air from China moves along with the wind from North to South, polluted air spreads out into Hong Kong. The areas which are nearer to the mainland, like the New Territories and Tung Chung, are highly polluted."
This is also false:
"they have suggested that subsidies should be given for introducing hybrid buses, to turn public light buses, trucks and vans into Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) vehicles."
Also false:
They account for 33% of the Hong Kong air pollution.
(see http://www.cleartheair.org.hk/sources.htm)
and some Typos:
"of espirable suspended particulates"
"tobacco smoke form 3.8 billion cigarettes"
"includes giving demonstrartions and press"
please try our best to make changes so that we can have an error-free wikipedia page about CTA. 0101eileen06 14:43, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
Now starting to clean up and edit the false info, thanks eileen. 0101carol06 16:43, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Photos added
i have added photos for the page, as i think after the logo of CTA was deleted, it's too dull and boring, i would like to add some pitures to make the page looks more vivid ^^.0101eileen06 12:19, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
I have added tags on the photos stating that they can be freely used as agreed by CTA, so it will not be deleted. 0101carol06 14:58, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
