[edit] Blasphemy is offensive to more people than just Mormons

This sentence has been edited down to remove unnecessary items, but in the process makes it sound like Mormons are the only ones that take offense to blasphemy:

[As Mormons find exclamations referencing deity offensive as well, such references were also usually removed.]

In movies like "Zwartboek" (Black Book) and in a less serious example in "Life of Brian", you can see how people of other faith's can take offense to the use of a deity's name in vain to the point of taking that person's life. Clean Flicks was started by Mormons for Mormons but not exclusively for Mormons as there were quite a few people that I knew that were not Mormon yet rented from there because they liked the milder versions better, and I am sure some of them were glad blasphemy was also removed. Other than reverting back to the previous longer winded versions of this statement, I would like to see this sentence show a broader scope, or at least a less pointed one. Is there a way to say "As religious people tend to find..." and still have a reference to it? I mean, if you look in the news paper, you will see that Muslims take this very seriously as well, even more so than Mormons do, maybe you can reference that? --Billy Nair (talk) 11:24, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

That's a good point, but then again it was started by Mormons and they were editing the films according to their own standards.VatoFirme (talk) 03:40, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
