Cleveland is a town in Taylor County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 262 at the 2000 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 35.7 square miles (92.4 km²), of which, 33.9 square miles (87.7 km²) of it is land and 1.8 square miles (4.7 km²) of it (5.07%) is water.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 262 people, 98 households, and 72 families residing in the town. The population density was 7.7 people per square mile (3.0/km²). There were 120 housing units at an average density of 3.5/sq mi (1.4/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 100.00% White.

There were 98 households out of which 32.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.3% were married couples living together, 2.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.5% were non-families. 23.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.67 and the average family size was 3.17.

In the town the population was spread out with 30.2% under the age of 18, 3.4% from 18 to 24, 26.3% from 25 to 44, 23.3% from 45 to 64, and 16.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females there were 106.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 120.5 males.

The median income for a household in the town was $35,625, and the median income for a family was $39,375. Males had a median income of $29,167 versus $25,179 for females. The per capita income for the town was $16,452. About 8.2% of families and 10.9% of the population were below the poverty line, including 13.6% of those under the age of eighteen and 8.0% of those sixty five or over.
