Clearwater River (British Columbia)

The Clearwater River is a tributary of the North Thompson River, joining it at the community of Clearwater, British Columbia. The Clearwater runs from headwaters to the north of Hobson Lake, joining with the outflow from Azure Lake near the northern end of Clearwater Lake. It continues southward through Wells Gray Provincial Park, where it meets first with the Murtle River, and then the Mahood River. At its confluence with the North Thompson River it crosses another protected area, the North Thompson River Provincial Park.

The river popular for fly fishing, whitewater kayaking, and whitewater rafting. It is known for having some of the best commercial whitewater rafting in the area.
