The township comprises the communities of Avening, Batteaux, Brentwood, Cashtown Corners, Creemore, Dunedin, Duntroon, Glen Huron, Maple Valley, New Lowell, Nottawa, Singhampton, Smithdale, Stayner, Sunnidale, Sunnidale Corners and Websterville.
