Clear 'Em Out

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Clear 'Em Out" was a track released by KRS-One featuring Tonedeff and produced by Domingo (producer).

The track is noteworthy as it was both the last collaboration between KRS-One and Domingo before the two fell out and also as it features a famous diss by KRS-One against Nelly.

According to Yahoo Music News:

In "Clear 'Em Out," KRS-One makes an apparent blanket attack on egotistical, commercially successful rappers, rhyming, "Sales don't make you the authority/It means you sold out to the white majority/What you know about seniority/You ain't major/Your whole album appeals to little second graders."

Though KRS-One doesn't reference Nelly in the song, industry insiders speculate that KRS-One's lyrics were written as a reply to Nelly's song "#1" from the Training Day soundtrack. On "#1," Nelly raps that he is tired of "people judging what's real hip-hop," adding that most of the flack comes from jealous, less-successful artists.
