"The Electronic Frontier Foundation was founded in July 1990 " (from EFF article)

"The World Wide Web was created in 1989 " (from WWW article)

"Before there was a Web, Shirky was vice-president of the New York chapter of the Electronic Frontier Foundation, " (from Shirky article)
