[edit] Brock ward

I have removed the following:

The current civil parish is called 'Brock' and now encompasses the former parish of Myerscough (pronounced Myersco and not as if it is some sort of chest infection e.g. Myerscoff). The modern parish is the home of Myerscough College. However, this article will concentrate on the ancient parish of Claughton on Brock.

This actually refers to Brock ward; there is no Brock parish. --Dr Greg 12:15, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
