[edit] Disambiguate the school
There is more than one Concordia University. The lead should indicate which one is referred to. VisitorTalk 16:13, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
- There is only one big Concordia University, and it's famous for an international incident and a massacre. 132.205.44.5 22:38, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Controversial figure
Lajeunesse is a controversial figure at Concordia University. Many long-term faculty and staff think he is the worst president to date, comparing him to George W. Bush. There is evidence in the page history that his administration has attempted to censor and manipulate this Wikipedia article, replacing referenced criticism with hyperbole and university propaganda. If you look back you will see 132.205.x.x IP addresses (Concordia addresses), many of which trace directly to his PR people.

- The article can't be improperly balanced. If you can tell where the sympathies lie of the editor, the article is POV. Plain and simple. GreenJoe 23:05, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

- If you don't think the article is balanced then you need to provide your own references and/or clean up the content (which I agree needs to be cleaned up), not simply delete it. However, you have twice removed material that was referenced in credible sources (okay, not properly referenced the first time, and somewhat ugly the second time ;-) which does nothing to expand or improve the article. Some facts will make an individual look bad, but that doesn't mean the article is unbalanced. And your off-hand comment about the user not being registered doesn't help. pale 14:05, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
- I don't have to provide references to remove POV content. GreenJoe 20:52, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

If there are references indicating that there is a notable controvery about Mr. Lajeunesse, then it would be appropriate to create a section of the encyclopedia article to document the controversy and summarize the nature of the concerns. The comparison to Mr. Bush is not helpful; if there is negative information about Mr. Lajeunesse, supported by reliable sources, then simply reporting that material is sufficient, without comparing him to a politician in a different country. - Thanks very much for your feedback, VisitorTalk. I agree with you. I don't think the Bush reference was actually included on the article page. I think it was a talking point only. How about adding a "Criticism and public perception" section and placing the references there, GreenJoe? pale 16:28, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
- I would be open to that. GreenJoe 02:10, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] 3rd Opinion requested
Hi! I see a third opinion was requested on this discussion, but it looks like you've already come to an amicable solution. I'm removing this entry from the 3o page. --Darkwind (talk) 08:41, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
