[edit] There was a similar woman in the UK

...who died after using tan beds daily of skin cancer at age 29 or so. Not that she campaigned, but I think it's relevant to let people know that this is not the only case...--h i s s p a c e r e s e a r c h 13:57, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

I mean, WP:NOT#FORUM, but accept your skin colour...--h i s s p a c e r e s e a r c h 13:59, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
I don't want to sound rude, but what on earth does skin colour have to do with this?! All humans have the same chances of getting melanomic skin cancer, believe it or not. She has become a prominent figure in Australia due to her actions and circumstances, that is why there is an article here. -- Permafrost 04:45, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
Yes, but people who have a natural tan don't need to use sunbeds, do they?--h i s s p a c e r e s e a r c h 13:45, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

With regard to the last line, how has the Australian government changed any regulations? Clare Oliver died less than 24 hours ago! 60.242.88.86 17:22, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

The Commonwealth Government of Australia enacted tighter regulations for solarium usage across Australia, following the Victorian State Government, which moved to tighten regulations within that state after hearing of Clare Oliver via the 7.30 Report and her letter. This was all done before she died. It is for the very reason she was dying that the governments sought to act. -- Permafrost 04:45, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Delete this entry?

She wasn't anyone important, just a poor girl who made a few silly mistakes that unfortunately costher life, but I do not think an entry for her is useful to anyone.

Feel free to nominate it for deletion if you don't think it meets notablility guidelines. ---CWY2190TC 04:48, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
