Overuse of the word "Rather" by one contributor here. Question is, can I be bothered to edit it now, or do I wait until later?

By all means, do what you can. There's not so many of us working on the Simpsons wiki project, so any little bit to take off the load is more than welcome.--Kiyosuki 10:07, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
and then once you are done editing, come join us at the WikiProject The Simpsons... ;) - Adolphus79 22:06, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

I've removed this clumsy sentence: "Regardless however, generally although they are far from competent, the Springfield police force seems to get the job done for the most part...albeit barely." Feel free to review. 218.215.22.28 23:38, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fat but not obese

chief wiggum is not obese and certainly not morbibly obese, if he was he would barely be able to move. i think this should be changed.

I disagree, he appears to be obese. However, so do Homer, Barney, Bart, Ralph and a host of others.
So until we get their official weight and height, we can not judge it. It should therefore be removed.

This whole page is a mess grammatically. It's rife with subjective statements too. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.73.75.201 (talk) 16:59, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Age

There's a little controversy it terms of timing, which affects Wiggum's age. It's true that in his childhood, he used to play "with Homer and other kids his age" but he was also present as a trainee or a co-op student "in one of the University's germ research labs (run at that time by Prof. C. Montgomery Burns) when Mona Simpson and the hippie activist group she was part of sabotaged the germ experiments", i.e. when Homer (who is supposed to be of Wiggum's age) was still a toddler. Shouldn't this be mentioned? 74.122.177.68 10:02, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Contradiction

The article states Wiggum using the earth's sun to find his location is part of his incompetence, but later it says this is one of his good qualities, which one should be removed?Davie4264 19:45, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

remove it from the good qualities

[edit] Biography Revision

The biography was a mess. I did some sentence revision, but its still very rambly and not very factual. feel free to compare. the previous author had five-line sentences and went off on tangents (read: the end of the be sharps) that had nothing to do with Wiggum.

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Wiggum on an Ostrich.png

Image:Wiggum on an Ostrich.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
