[edit] Headline text

Um, why isn't there any info about the 2003 Mr. Cav contest?? What's going on here? NotHarada 22:35, 20 December 2005 (ATC)

  • I heard that that Mr. Cav contest involved too much cheating, deception, and bribery to be considered fair and notable. Guerberj 19:26, 31 December 2005 (UTC)

I don't know about anyone else, but I would love to see this page exceed the level of Glencoe, Westveiw and Sunset. Guerberj 15:25, 10 August 2005 (UTC)

- In what way? Right now we're below their level. I've been trying to clean up spelling and grammer that crops up. mountainfire 20:38, August 10, 2005 (UTC)

-- I was thinking along the lines of information presented and format. There's alot I think people would like to know about Clackamas, and I think Wikipedia is a great way to make it acessable and useful. Guerberj 20:16, 11 August 2005 (UTC)

--- You've certainly got it going along the right track. I've added a redirect from Clackamas High to Clackamas High School. mountainfire 17:34, August 15, 2005 (UTC)

--- I also think this page needs a description that the smartest man alive graduated, that man being Jon Guerber himself. Just kidding. But anyway, hopefully I'll be able to contribute to this in some way. Liface 19:43, 2 September 2005 (UTC)

--- Haha, why thank-you! Guerberj 20:43, 2 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Stub Status

  • I removed the Stub status, if anyone diagrees let me know (or just put it back on) Guerberj 18:22, 12 August 2005 (UTC)

- It's much too large to be a stub now mountainfire 16:22, August 15, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Old Clackamas High Creation Date

I'm not sure about this, but I found a souce saying that CHS opened in 1957. I was wondering if anyone had any input on this topic. Guerberj 15:46, 15 August 2005 (UTC)

- I just got 1957 from a reliable source as well. mountainfire 06:00, August 16, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Layout

I don't know how to fix this but the way the school info box overlaps onto text is a problem. mountainfire 16:27, August 15, 2005 (UTC)

- UPDATE: Added new infobox! mountainfire

  • The New info box looks alot better Guerberj 15:03, 16 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] SAT BOX

I added the SAT info box, but it looked a little crowded with close text wrapping. Not that it matters, but I spent a while trying to get the wrapping to be less tight without any sucsess. If anybody knows more then me about tables and wants to make it look nicer, go for it! Guerberj 18:27, 7 September 2005 (UTC)

-- UPDATE -- I figured the text wrapping issue out; well, actually I looked it up on the metawiki site.... Guerberj 20:31, 7 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Clubs

I removed the Link Crew from the clubs section because it's a credit class. I also moved the link for the Handball Club's website to the External Links section and added the Key Club's site down there as well. mountainfire 17:34, August 15, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Major Events

I added the major events section to adress alot of the major news making and historical events in CHS history. Not much on here yet, but I hope to expand it. Guerberj 23:14, 1 September 2005 (UTC)

- Should the attempted ban on Richochet river be in there? http://www.clackamasreview.com/article/6136 Liface 07:15, 6 September 2005 (UTC)

  • Yeah, I forgot about that. I think It's more then notable enough. Guerberj 14:56, 6 September 2005 (UTC)
  • -- It has been added Guerberj 17:03, 6 September 2005 (UTC)

Charles was struck by a car on Oct. 21 not the 20th so I changed that and also a few major spelling mistakes ("Whail" instead of "While," "Sever" instead of "Severe") and added the date of his death.--The Fletch 01:32, 29 December 2005 (UTC)

  • -- Hey thanks. When I made the artical, I could find any good info on the exact date and my spelling sucks. Guerberj 19:26, 31 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Google Ranking

  • Just to let you know, we are currently the 6th choice when typing in "Clackamas High" in Google! This is alot better then a month ago. My goal is to top the Official CHS website, but I'm not sure that's ever going to happen. lol. Guerberj 15:40, 7 September 2005 (UTC)
  • Hmm, we seemed to have dropped off entirely. - Liface 20:06, 20 October 2005 (UTC)
    • Yeah.... Interesting 24.21.145.209 01:21, 24 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] More table problems

  • I'm not liking this table overlap in the very first part of the page. Perhaps the table should go on the left, and the text should flow down on the right? -Liface 20:13, 20 October 2005 (UTC)
  • I added more space so that the table dosen't overlap the line (at least on my computer). I tried moving the table to the left, but wasn't able to. I think that may be a problem though because the table of contents defaults to the left... I don't know what would happen then. Guerberj 01:28, 24 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Portal:Schools

We'd love to promote your school article to generate some positive edits, particularly stylistics and copyedits. I think the best way is to suggest a Schools Did You Know fact. Go to the Portal talkpage and make a suggestion if you have one. Thanks. Harro5 22:27, 13 November 2005 (UTC)

- Hmm, I'm not sure that we have any defining characteristics for a "Did You Know" fact... any suggestions? Liface 05:08, 15 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Staff?

I was thinking we might want to have a section on staff members, or at least the administration and perhaps coaches..? --mountainfire 04:55, 3 January 2006 (UTC)

    • Sounds like a good idea. Feel free to add it in! Guerberj 22:56, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image Copyrights

We need to get some non-copyrighted images, as 3 or 4 of the images currently used do not have a copyright notification, and are set to be deleted. --Liface 21:26, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

    • Yeah, I don't currently have any good CHS pictures that can replace the one's that were taken out so if anybody has good stuff that can be put in, go for it (Or feel free to e-mail me pictures). I'm still looking through my archives though; perhaps I'll find something that will work. Guerberj 04:52, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] NEW Clackamas Page

I'm going to be honest, I feel alot of relevent information has been lost here. Sure getting rid of the list of groups was fine, but why the SAT box, relevent images (like the handball pic which has become a Clackamas/SE Portland tradition), and other info? I guess it goes back to the debate over the purpose of Wikipedia. Is it a mere encyclopedia or a compendium of all human knowlege organized for the benifit of mankind? Guerberj 15:12, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Cavcenterlogo.jpg

Image:Cavcenterlogo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] More students

I know (from a news letter from the Princepal of Clackamas High School) that they were expecting roughly 3500 students this year if this artical was corect then were are the other 1486 stendents? And having that many Students means it is the biggest school in Oregon.Smileyface 12 91 05:04, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

    • Do you know if there's asome link to that letter? Is it on the CHS webpage? I'd like to verfy this fact. Guerberj 19:21, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism

So somebody has been valdilising the page, so I went ahead and reverted back to the point before it all started. Along the way I had to get rid of a few important uptades like enrollment and faculty numbers. Also, the CHS hallway picture need to be changed back... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Guerberj (talkcontribs) 19:32, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
