Clayton Ferreira Cruz (born July 19, 1975 in São João do Paraíso) is a Brazilian football player. He is currently under contract with AC Omonia in League Marfin Laiki after he was signed from Alki Larnaca in May 2008.

Clayton is an exceptional attacking midfielder with a sweet left foot.He has competed in the Champions League with F.C. Porto and has scored important goals for them against high profile opponents including a brace against Celtic in 2001.[1].He was also a part of the Porto Uefa Cup winning team in 2003.He was not used by Jose Mourinho in the final where F.C. Porto won the match 3-2 in extra time.[2] After the final Clayton moved to Sporting Lisbon for one year and after he only 8 appearances he signed for Vitoria Guimarães in July 2005 on free transfer.[3] .After Vitoria he wandered in Brazil and on 2007 he find his peace in Cyprus where as of the 2008-2009 season he will be a part of AC Omonia
