Claydon railway station is a former railway station serving the village of Steeple Claydon in Buckinghamshire and is where the Aylesbury branch of the Varsity Line (going via the Great Central Main Line) met the Varsity mainline from Oxford. Today Claydon L&NE junction is now used for binliner (containerised domestic waste) and spoil trains going to the landfill site at Calvert and moving empty coaching stock. The East West Rail Consortium may reopen the station and the Varsity line from Oxford to Bletchley including the Aylesbury branch within 20 years.
