Clay High School (Oregon, Ohio)

Clay High School is a public high school in Oregon, Ohio, United States, east of Toledo. It is a part of the Oregon City School District. It is the only high school in the district.

Clay High School originally started with a main building. The old elementary was then added to the campus, and finally the Annex was added. Over the last few years the Clay High School Campus has underwent a remodel. There was an addition added on to the main building. While the old elementary and the Annex were demolished. The Main building also was gutted and redone.

The school colors are green and gold. Their nickname is the Eagles. Clay was a member of the Great Lakes League until 2003 when they joined the Toledo City League. Clay's joining of the TCL made them the second non-Toledo team to join the league (Cardinal Stritch 1970-1992) though they have played the Toledo City League schools for years prior to joining.

[edit] The Machine Trades program

The Machine Trades program has been the patriarch of the career and Technical programs at Clay high school. Over the many years of service the program has been responsible for the education of hundreds of Machinist, Tool & Die Makers, Pattern Makers, Mold Makers, Engineers and overall responsible citizens. The Machine Trades program has been under the leadership from the beginning with Mr. Kinney, Mr. H Collins Mr. G Weigel. Over the last decades Mr. K Redman and Mr. A Spallino which have produced a highly effective program with a 100% job placement.
