Claudio Constantini

Claudio Constantini is a pianist, bandoneonist and composer, born in Perú, and currently living in The Netherlands.
Claudio Constantini was born into a family of musicians. He studied piano in his home city of Lima with his father Gerardo Constantini, and finished his studies in the Lahti Polytechnic faculty of music in Finland. Afterwards, he moved to Holland together with his wife Suvi Myöhänen (violinist) to study bandoneón with Víctor Villena and Leo Vervelde, and arrangements and analisis lessons with Gustavo Beytelmann.
Claudio, at his short age, is already one of the most notable Peruvian musicians in the international scene. He simultaneously holds a career as a bandoneonist, pianist, arranger, transcriber, and teacher. He has appeared in important venues and festivals in 4 continents. He is the leader and founder of (among other groups) the Milonga del Norte sextet which won the 1st prize in the Astor Piazzolla international competition in Italy, 2005. In 2001 he won, as a pianist, the 1st prize in the international Litmann competition, New York.
Claudio Constantini is appointed guest at the Maailmantango festival in Finland, where he is the leader and artistic director of the Maailmantango Orkesteri, the festival's orchestra.
