Claudia Acuña

Claudia Acuña is a Chilean Latin jazz singer who primarily does jazz standards, torch songs and ballads, though she has also ventured into the bossa nova genre from time to time.

Now based in New York City, Claudia has been singing since the age of fifteen. One of her covers of the Antonio Carlos Jobim song "Suddenly" was featured on the original motion picture soundtrack from Verve Records for the movie Bossa Nova. She has also recorded three solo albums, two for Verve and one for Max Jazz. [1]

In 2001 she recorded a single with House producer Joe Claussell called Slavery Days which brought her to a whole new audience.
