Claude Blanchet

Claude Blanchet is a Canadian financier who served as the CEO of Quebec's Union Funds (Fonds de solidarité de la Fédération des Travailleurs du Québec) and CEO of société générale de financement, a government owned holding.

He started his financial career as the right arm of financial mogul Robert Campeau, serving in the Ottawa region. In his early 30s, Blanchet now with financial independance started to serve in public - labour organizations.

He is married to Pauline Marois, the leader of the Parti Québécois.
