Claud Schuster, 1st Baron Schuster

Claud Schuster, 1st Baron Schuster (2 August 1869–28 June 1956) was a British barrister and civil servant.
He served as Permanent Secretary to the Lord Chancellor for a remarkable 29 years between 1915 and 1944. A lifelong mountaineer in his spare time, he was elected President of the Ski Club of Great Britain, 1932-1934, and of the Alpine Club, 1938–1940. He was created Baron Schuster of Cerne in the County of Dorset in 1944 and this title became extinct on his death.
