El Clasico de las Emes (The "M" Derby), is a classic football match played between Motagua from Tegucigalpa and Marathon from San Pedro Sula, two of the most successful and popular football teams from Honduras.

  • First game in Liga Nacional: Marathón 2:0 Motagua in San Pedro Sula with two goals from Mario Rivera and Rafael Maldonado in August 1, 1965.
  • First game in Tegucigalpa in November 21, 1965 ended in a 4:1 victory for Motagua and the scorer were 2 from Jorge Berrios, Amado Castillo and Hector Chavez. The goal from Marathon was from Mauro "Nayo" Caballero.
  • First Motagua's victory in San Pedro Sula: 1967, Marathón 1:2 Motagua with a double from Roberto Abrusezze, Mauro Caballero scored for the greens.
  • Oscar "Martillo" Hernández scored 13 goals against Marathón.
  • Gilberto Leonel Machado scored 14 goals against Motagua.
  • There have been 25 matches just in playoffs with 9 victories for Motagua 8 Ties and 8 wins for Marathon.
