Clarksville is a village in Ionia County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the village population was 317. The village is within Campbell Township. The Clarksville ZIP code 48815 serves the northern portion of the township as well the southern portion of Boston Township and small portions of Odessa Township on the east and Bowne Township in Kent County on the west.[3]

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.5 square miles (1.3 km²), all land.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there are 317 people, 140 households, and 81 families residing in the village. The population density is 625.3 per square mile (240.0/km²). There are 148 housing units at an average density of 292.0/sq mi (112.0/km²). The racial makeup of the village is 96.53% White, 0.32% African American, 0.32% from other races, and 2.84% from two or more races. 1.89% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 140 households out of which 28.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.1% are married couples living together, 8.6% have a female householder with no husband present, and 42.1% are non-families. 37.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 22.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.26 and the average family size is 2.96.
In the village the population is spread out with 25.2% under the age of 18, 6.0% from 18 to 24, 26.5% from 25 to 44, 22.4% from 45 to 64, and 19.9% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 39 years. For every 100 females there are 98.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 89.6 males.
The median income for a household in the village is $35,313, and the median income for a family is $53,750. Males have a median income of $32,083 versus $21,528 for females. The per capita income for the village is $16,066. 8.6% of the population and 4.2% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 13.5% of those under the age of 18 and 20.9% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
