Clarks Green is a borough in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,630 at the 2000 census.

Clarks Green is located at 41°29′54″N, 75°41′41″W (41.498378, -75.694803)[1].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 0.6 square miles (1.5 km²), all of it land.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 1,630 people, 616 households, and 473 families residing in the borough. The population density was 2,868.2 people per square mile (1,104.1/km²). There were 629 housing units at an average density of 1,106.8/sq mi (426.1/km²). The racial makeup of the borough was 97.85% White, 0.06% African American, 1.78% Asian, 0.06% from other races, and 0.25% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.06% of the population.

There were 616 households out of which 35.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 68.7% were married couples living together, 5.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.2% were non-families. 21.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.65 and the average family size was 3.10.

In the borough the population was spread out with 27.0% under the age of 18, 5.4% from 18 to 24, 22.9% from 25 to 44, 28.3% from 45 to 64, and 16.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 42 years. For every 100 females there were 91.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 87.1 males.

The median income for a household in the borough was $61,250, and the median income for a family was $74,250. Males had a median income of $60,000 versus $32,159 for females. The per capita income for the borough was $35,975. About 3.5% of families and 3.6% of the population were below the poverty line, including 4.6% of those under age 18 and 0.7% of those age 65 or over.
