Clarke Scholes (born November 25, 1930) is an American swimmer. He won Olympic gold in 100 m freestyle in Helsinki 1952. He also won gold at the Pan American Games 1955.
Scholes was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 1980. He studied at the Michigan State University and was coached to the Olympic gold by Matt Mann.
Scholes learned to swim at the age of four years.
