Clarin is a 4th class municipality in the province of Misamis Occidental, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 29,712 people in 6,094 households.

Most of the towns people earned their living through farming and fishing. In farming, they have plenty of rice fields that had been cultivated for the past years. In fishing, they had a lot of fishes, sea shells that were hiding in the deep areas of Panguil Bay.
