Clarence V. Bertucci
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Clarence V. Bertucci was a private in the U.S. Army, stationed at Salina, Utah. He was held solely responsible for the Salina Utah POW massacre and determined to be unfit to stand trial due to insanity.
Bertucci was from New Orleans, Louisiana and had previously been convicted twice by court-martial for minor military discipline infractions; hence he was still a private even though he had enlisted in 1940. He died in November 1969 after spending an unknown amount of time at a mental institution in New York.
