Claiton full name Claiton Machado dos Santos (born 7 September 1984 in Santa Helena, Goiás) is a Brazilian football (soccer) defender. He currently plays for Varese.

He was signed by A.C. Milan in January 2002 from Bologna. He has yet to play for the rossoneri though, having experienced two rather unsuccessful loan periods at Prato and Lecco before signing for Varese in the summer of 2006 in a co-ownership deal.

He was bought back by Milan in June 2007, but he remained in Varese.[1]
