Claire Rankin

Claire Rankin (born January 23, 1971 in Canada) is a Canadian actress. She was raised in Prince Edward Island and is a trained singer and dancer.
She has over 35 film and television credits appearing in such shows as "Without A Trace, "The District", "Chicago Hope", "Ally MacBeal", and "The Drew Carey Show".
She also has lead roles in a number of independent films and television movies including "In Quiet Night, "A Brother's Promise", "A Face to Kill For" and "One Of Our Own".
Trained with the Stratford Festival Young Company for 2 years, she spent 4 years with the Stratford Shakespearean Festival playing classical roles, such as Miranda in "The Tempest." She has also danced the ballet role of Louise in "Carousel" at the same festival. Other stage appearances include "Cossette" in Les Miserables and "Juliet" in Romeo and Juliet.
Best known to Sci Fi fans for her recurring role as Kate Heightmeyer in Stargate Atlantis and on "Forever Knight" as Fleur de Brabant, the younger sister of Nicolas de Brabant/Nick Knight in the episode "Be My Valentine" (1995). Other Sci Fi shows she has previously guest-starred on include "The Outer Limits", "Sleepwalker", "Charmed" and Star Trek: Voyager in the part of "Alice."
She was married to Josh Randall on 10 September 2000. Her mother-in law is an author and syndicated columnist Sharon Randall.
