CKRN is a television station in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec. Owned and operated by RNC Media, it is a private affiliate of Radio-Canada and basically functions as a semi-satellite of Montreal Radio-Canada flagship station CBFT due to not having alternative non-network sources of programming available.
The station first aired on December 25, 1957. It was originally a dual affiliate of Radio-Canada and the English-language CBC. The CBC subsequently launched a rebroadcaster of its English Montreal affiliate CBMT in the area in 1961, and CKRN dropped its English programming in 1962.
The station has rebroadcast transmitters in the following communities:
- Fabre-Béarn - 3
- Ville-Marie - 6
In addition, the station has a semi-satellite in Val-d'Or, which airs some separate commercials but otherwise simulcasts CKRN's programming. This transmitter uses the callsign CJDG, and broadcasts on channel 7. CJDG has rebroadcasters in the following communities:
- Joutel - 11
- Lebel-sur-Quévillon - 11
- Matagami - 9
RNC Media also owns CFEM in Rouyn-Noranda and CFVS in Val-d'Or.
