CKIZ-FM

CKIZ-FM is a canadian radio station in Vernon, British Columbia airing an adult contemporary format at 107.5 FM branded as 107.5 KISS-FM.
The station began broadcasting in 1947 as CJIB at AM 940 KHz and went through different ownerships over the years. On March 15th, 2001, CJIB was converted to the FM band at 107.5 MHz becoming Vernon's first ever FM radio station. In late 2001, CJIB adopted new call letters as CKIS which lasted until 2003, it became the current callsign CKIZ. (CKIS is a current callsign of a radio station in Calgary, Alberta).
On February 25th, 2005, Rogers Communications the owner of CKIZ-FM, was given approval by the CRTC to add a 10 watt FM transmitter at Enderby, British Columbia at 93.9 MHz to rebroadcast the programming of CKIZ-FM, which was no longer receivable there after its conversion from the AM band in 2001.
